Shipping Information
Our service commitment for standard orders is to process and ship orders within two (2) business days of order clearance. Our service guarantee defines an order as being cleared when it has been fully paid (including shipping), and all items from the order are in stock. Therefore, our service guarantee does not extend to items with lead times, special order items, or contract blends & services.
Please also note that business days do not include weekends or holidays. For example, if you place your order on a Monday, it will be processed by Wednesday. If you place your order on Friday after the close of business or on Saturday or Sunday, it will begin processing as if you had placed it on the following Monday, as that is when we will first see your order.
The above service commitment also applies to ‘Pick up at our warehouse’ orders, and though we strive to prioritize these, standard processing times may apply depending on the nature of the order. See here for more information regarding in-store pickups.
Our Shipping & Customer Service Hours of Operation are Monday thru Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm PST.
General:
- Due to material regulations, we currently only ship through UPS. Other options are available upon request.
- When we ship your package our system auto-generates an email with your tracking number. You can also see your tracking number when you log into your account.
- It is your responsibility to make sure that your local UPS facility is not trying to contact you about your package.
- We can only accept returns that we have approved and entered into our system.. Please contact us by phone or email to determine if you qualify for a return shipment.
- It is the customer's responsibility to verify that the shipping address is correct before completing the checkout process. If you need to update your address before your order is shipped, you will need to cancel your order and place a new order with your correct address. If your order has already shipped, please contact us if you need to update your address. Address change fees and additional transportation fees will be applicable and vary by carrier.
Free Shipping:
- Free Shipping is for UPS Ground only
- UPS Ground is only available in the continental U.S.
- There is a maximum weight limit on free shipping of 50 lbs. This is slightly more than the weight of one case of four gallons.
Lead-Time & Special Order Items
- Choosing an expedited shipping service does not expedite the internal processing of an order by our team before it is shipped.
If an expedited order contains an item with a lead-time or is a special order item (including contract blends), the order will process within the timeframe specified, and someone from our team will contact you with an ETA. Once your order has been processed within the stated lead time, it will ship via the method chosen at checkout.
First-time customers with multiple transaction declines, as well as orders with an expedited shipping method (see list below), may be held in our system for additional authorization, which may result in shipment delays. Please contact Customer Service to confirm the order has cleared.
Expedited Shipping Methods
We do our best to prioritize every order with care, and we understand the urgency behind selecting expedited shipping options, such as UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or 3-Day Select. However, please note that choosing a faster shipping method may not result in orders being processed on the day the order is placed and/or paid for. The expedited rates reflect the transit time once an order has shipped and do not represent internal expediting of order processing. We remain committed to our 2-business-day order processing service guarantee (see above). We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to consider this when selecting your shipping option.
Expedited Shipping Option Transit Policy & Timelines:
- UPS Next Day, 2nd Day Air, and 3-Day Select shipments, which have ** or *** items (Hazmat), are NOT guaranteed (as per UPS) and may be delayed for carrier processing. UPS will NOT REFUND shipping costs if 'Hazmat' shipments do not arrive on time; therefore, neither can we.
- Next Day Air: Arrives the next business day from when the order ships.
- 2nd Day Air: Arrives 2nd business day from when the order ships.
- 3 Day Select: Arrive 3rd business day from when the order ships.
- Worldwide Expedited: Arrives 4-5 business days from when the order ships.

Refer to International shipping policy for additional details. - UPS does not consider Saturday or Sunday as business days for expedited shipments.
Service Guarantees:
As the shipper, we are responsible for the shipment before being picked up by the carrier of your choice. Once it has been picked up, the responsibility of the order shifts to the carrier (including, but not limited to, the shipping speed, service guarantees, and handling). For shipping method parameters and service guarantees, please refer to the carrier websites for exceptions to service guarantees, additional details, and information.
HazMat (**) Items:
- Some of our products are defined by IATA (International Air Transport Association) / DOT (Department of Transportation) as Dangerous Goods, also known as 'Hazardous Materials' (HazMat) due to their Flammability (based on flashpoint), Environmental Hazard (Marine Pollutants, etc), or Toxicity (Poisons). The products that we sell which are subject to HazMat Fees are marked with ** or *** at the end of their name.
- Items that have a ** or *** and are considered Environmentally hazardous may not be subject to Hazmat Fees or carrier restrictions. These items will contain the following icon on their product page -
- When shipped using Ground methods (only available to Domestic customers), HazMat Fees will not apply.
Effective December 22, 2025 UPS Increased their Hazardous Shipping Fees for the 2026 year.
2025 rates were $176.50 domestic package and $256.75 International package.
New 2026 rates are $188.00 domestic package and $273.50 International package.
This increase is being done by UPS and is done every year or so. We do not add to their fees. These HazMat fees will only apply to orders shipping by Air or Internationally that have ** or *** in the product name. If you have any questions/concerns regarding this, we urge you to reach out to UPS.

Need a Quote?
When our web store's shopping cart calculates the order to be over a certain weight, our system is unable to calculate the shipping cost.
In this case the only shipping options you will see are as follows:
- Shipping charge will be added to order $0.00 (USD)
- Freight Pick up at our warehouse $0.00 (USD)
- Pick up at our warehouse $0.00 (USD)
(This means we will need to email you a quote. You will need to place an order, select the shipping option Pick up in our warehouse and in the order notes ask for a shipping quote)
International (Customers shipping orders outside the United States):
Our International Commercial Terms (INCO) are: FCA
Free Carrier (FCA) terms mean that we (the Seller) will prepare your shipment for any mode of transportation. Under FCA Terms, the facilities from which we ship (170 Technology Circle) are defined as the 'Point of Departure.' After shipment is delivered to buyer's carrier (UPS), the buyer (customer) assumes responsibility for the package. As the Seller of the product, we are responsible for preparing the shipment to clear for export (reliant on correct information provided by customer). Buyer (Customer) is responsible for clearing goods for import.
International customs:
- Custom regulations, Import permit requirements, Duty tax, Custom fees, Warehouse Fees and Quarantine charges can be different for every country.
- You may or may not owe Custom fees, Duty tax and Quarantine charges
- We recommend checking with your local customs office about the procedures in your country.
- The Flavored Herb will not be held financially responsible for your order if it is returned, destroyed, or confiscated by customs. You are agreeing to pay any fees owed during the customs clearance process. If an order is returned to us due to it not being cleared through customs, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. If your order is abandoned due to it not clearing customs, then we will not offer any refund
However if customs requests payment for Custom fees, Duty tax, Warehouse Fees and/or Quarantine charges, you will be required to complete payment to clear the shipment.
